Hannah Buschbom, CFP®, CPWA®, CDFA®, CFF®
Chief Transitional Wealth Planner

Hannah can be reached at:

(805) 770-1356 Direct

Hannah Buschbom CFP®, CPWA®, CDFA®, CFF® is a Wealth Advisor at The AmeriFlex Group. She has over a decade of experience working in the financial services industry. Her specialty is working with people, especially women, during a significant life transition, such as retirement, sale of a business or real estate, change in marital status, or loss of a loved one.

She enjoys engaging clients cooperatively, to develop creative solutions to their often-complex scenarios together. This method, she says, leads to their preferred outcome– “My ultimate goal is to enable clients to be better educated, and in turn to make confident and informed decisions.”

In her search for connections to educate and serve her clients better, Hannah noticed a lack of a centralized way for women to establish and strengthen powerful relationships with other women business leaders in their communities. By Co-Founding The W Source, she helps female professionals tackle this challenge by providing a way for them to connect, engage, and grow their professional networks.

Hannah holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification – the gold standard for financial planning in the financial services industry. Also, Hannah noticed early on in her career that those grappling with the complexities of divorce settlements could benefit from the help of a specialized, trusted advisor. Wanting to fill this void, she pursued and obtained her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst Designation®. Finally, wanting to provide the highest standard of care for clients, she holds the Certified Financial Fiduciary (CFF®) designation.

As a featured speaker, Hannah frequently shares her expertise with other female professionals. She has contributed to Barron’s Magazine, Financial Advisor magazine, Investment News, Financial Planning Magazine, and Wealth

In 2019, Hannah was named “Grassroots Champion of the Year”* by Financial Services Institute (FSI). FSI advocates for a more business-friendly regulatory environment for independent financial services firms and independent financial advisors in Washington D.C. The award is given at the discretion of FSI.

Diane Carlton
Strategy Consultant

I like to see people prosper. Especially in an environment that is constantly changing — culturally, technologically, and economically.

In my role as an Advisor Strategy Consultant, I help financial advisors thrive and flourish and become the best version of themselves. That can mean making a change in Broker-Dealers, choosing a hybrid RIA to better serve their clients, or designing a succession plan to care for their clients when considering an exit strategy.

As a former reporter and writer, I’ve interviewed hundreds of people about pivotal moments in their lives. As a compassionate, intuitive storyteller, I’ve honed my ability to listen and communicate. That has become my superpower and it enables me to pinpoint an advisor’s goals – both personally and professionally. I can recognize both conscious and unconscious motives – by what people say and don’t say. And I’m driven to help them understand, talk through, self-coach and discern a path forward. I’ve been described as a “think tank in your pocket.”

The financial advisors I work with have built a business with intention and passion. They’ve spent years loving, planning and caring for their clients. But like the shoemaker with worn out shoes, their laser focus on their clients can lead many of them in need of guidance
in regard to their own future. My role is to help them transition to the next — or final — phase of their practice. By taking what they’ve worked so hard to build to monetize ensure their clients are taken care of when they retire.

When I’m not working with my advisors, I enjoy beach time with my family, teaching yoga, and serving my community as a budget and cashflow coach. To me, the key strategy for living an enriched life is being present – and living that life with (and on) purpose of mind, body, spirit (and financial!) connection.

Jason Benham
Strategy Consultant

I help financial advisors evaluate the hybrid RIA and BD environment so that they can find the best home when transitioning their business. In my 25-years working in financial services, I’ve learned that every practice is as unique as the individual advisor and clients they serve. While there are some commonalities across practices, listening intently to each advisor’s concerns ensures that their needs are met and that their next firm, is their last.

My strongest asset is being resource for advisors who want to outsource their uncertainties and partner in the process from beginning to end.
In partnering with The AmeriFlex® Group I am excited to introduce the innovative approach taken to succession planning, financial planning, and RIA ownership. With a national presence and recognition as a true differentiator in our industry, The AmeriFlex® Group sets a new standard for an advisor-first firm through its planning-centric culture and a focus of driving true value for its partner advisors.

When not helping advisors transition their practice, I enjoy spending time with family, exercise, and cooking. A successful and fulfilling life begins at home!
